Company One Theatre
DESCRIPTION
Company One Theatre is a premiere production company in Boston, Massachusetts, where they have been staging new plays for over two decades. Since 2016 I have designed posters, dramaturgical programmes, and other marketing materials for various shows. Each production’s unique aesthetic is decided with the help of the marketing and dramaturgical department to best reflect the themes of the play.

vietgone
One of Company One’s productions was Vietgone, a new play by Qui Nguyen. Wanting to reflect the play’s 1970s military setting, the challenge was to convey the time and place without resorting to the usual hippie cliches. The final design uses bright retro pattern details made modern with bold typography – a thematically appropriate melding of the old and new.
HYPE MAN
Hype Man by Idris Goodwin evoked a 90s grunge band aesthetic expanded across posters, a programme, and a cast album.
